Wonderful Galapagos

December 29th, 2008
The past 10 days have had me roaming the country of Ecuador and taking in its great sights! Close to 2000 photos have been captured in the meantime, and I’m sure to have a lengthy session with the photos in my computer once I return to Houston. In the meantime, I would like to show some photos worked on only minimally using iphoto.

Sealion

This photo of a Sea lion pup in Fernandina island showcases what the Galapagos Islands are all about! Our guide, Jorge Garcia brought us to the island early in the morning when the light was right and before the other tourist vessels started arriving. I was able to isolate this pup and its mother, and laying down with a wide angle lens, approach very close to the pup. The result is this image of the pup and its mom on the sand, drying themselves in the sun!
