This weekend, I enjoyed spending a couple of early hours at the Houston Zoo’s photo day (Thanks to V!). Among the many exotic species I was able to photograph was the Bali Mynah. What a pretty bird!

I’m starting a few new weekly themes to make sure I keep this blog alive outside the monthly desktop calendar. Mondays are going to be Birding mondays with a new post every week from my collection of bird images. Starting it off with the striking yellow warbler photographed in Santiago Island in the Galapagos in Dec ‘08. This is the male yellow warbler with his red crest and streaks on his neck.
