2011 – wrap up
Time for my annual wrap-up
January 2011 – 1st month into my new job and trying to find the work-home balance (just fyi I still have not found the balance) – I was not sure I would survive. I also hosted a baby sprinkle at home for P – party planning and fun
February 2011 – The 7th year and the pain was even more this year in light of all that was happening/happened. This month I hated my grandfather for leaving us more than missing him and I am not ashamed to admit it.
March 2011 – Summer was right around the corner and we got ready for family. Kuttyma had ear tubes put in. It was hard watching her being wheeled into surgery. It made me stronger and I was glad I had my mother and grandmother to lean on – I could not have done it by myself. The wheels started rolling – the opportunity for me to transfer to Singapore became viable.
April 2011 – Kuttyma’s first flight to Ann Arbor and baby bro KA’s graduation
May 2011 – Started off with a cruise and ended with baby bro finding a job in Houston
June 2011 – Family times and life goes on – life could not be better
July 2011 – I enjoyed summer to the maximum knowing it would probably be the last summer in Houston. Documenting moments and memories as we moved on.
August 2011 – R made his trip to Singapore and the offers started coming
September 2011 – Panic and excitement as we planned our move. Kuttyma turned two.
October 2011 – Goodbyes, hellos and Deepavali in India
November 2011 – Transitioning – Singapore times – hard but fun
December 2011 – The boxes arrived and it is feeling like home – sort of – kind of. We are wrapping up the year just as I dreamed in Singapore. I must be one of the luckiest people alive and I firmly believe that if I repeat the words often I would forget the hard parts.
I have no clue what 2012 has in store for me. Settling in will obviously be our highest priority. It is a year where I have very low expectations from myself. I am going to take it a day at a time and hope the dots will continue to connect and a clearer picture will emerge at least by the time I wrap up 2012.
From our family to yours Happy New Year
