Hello 2014! I have been waiting for you for years – a decade in fact – with dread and anticipation.

You mark a decade of pain, a decade of responsibility and a decade of life.

2004 changed my life in more than one way. I said goodbye to my grandfather in February. I was not ready.

I graduated in May. The world was mine and it was time to step up – become responsible.

I met R and we started our journey together in Houston

A decade has flown by. 2014 will be a homage year of sorts.

It is also the year where I am giving myself a chance – a chance to explore. To test waters. I hope I make the most of it.

Travel and change hopefully will be constant companions in addition to family and friends.

Here is to 2014!
