Here we are – another year and one where fervent hope takes centerstage. More than any other previous year. May our collective hope and resilience propel us forward.

I have always loved beginnings. The beginning of 2021 like always is filled with hope and dreams. I have plans, dreams and hopes. May perseverance and determination fuel me along.

Writing definitely plays a role in 2021. Some of my writings will definitely be personal and more journal like. I hope it will give me the space to reflect and see some patterns emerge. Maybe I am being too optimistic but that is what the first day of the year does to me.

2020 has been an eye-opener in many ways. I have been lucky and privileged. To say I am grateful is an understatement. There has been many bumps and disappointments in 2020 but I think the immense feeling of gratitude makes dealing with the year easier.

Unlike many others, I do not plan to forget 2020 easily. It has been a year of personal and professional growth. It has been a year of changes, challenges and constant uncertainty. I do not think any of it will change in 2021 but I think I am better equipped and resilient thanks to 2020.

No resolutions. Some dreams, lots of hope and direction.
