It is snowing in Houston! This is probably the most spoken words in Houston today. It is a rare occurrence and it is making many people happy, excited and cold. To non-Houstonians this is not a big deal but it is a big deal around here.

It is also Thiru Karthigai – my favoritest (if there exists such a word) festival.. I miss being at home, I miss the big color kolams, the countless twinkling lights sigh….with all the freezing rain, sleet and snow in Houston today all I did was turn on the Christmas lights in the patio and light some lamps indoor.
