7 day positivity experiment – Day 1
This is the thing I need – to count my blessings and move on. I do not want to go into details but let us just say the picture is not as rosy as it seems.
It started at Preeti’s blog and I am so glad she started at a time when I need it the most. The details are simple – For the next seven days I am going to do a post every single day, focusing on 5 things which made me happy or made me feel grateful. This is yesterday’s list.
- I am extremely glad my mother is here and helping me catch some sleep and not worry about feeding my daughter and me.
- I am happy that me and R finally headed out for a lunch out. This is the first time in more than a year that we have had a chance to go out alone. It made me feel “me” and not just “mom”. We did end up talking about kuttyma but it was some time out for ourselves
- I am glad we took kuttyma to Discovery Green park in Downtown Houston. She loved playing in the water park there. She was skeptical at first but enjoyed it later
- We picked up a ride-on truck for kuttyma and she has been having a blast driving/pushing it. Her smiles made me happy. I cannot believe the happiness she brings into my life. And for her every discomfort is worth it.
- A friend called inviting us to a surprise party and it felt great to hear about our friend’s accomplishments. They have a lot to celebrate and I am so glad to be sharing their joy
Let us see what Day 2 has in store for me.
