And what are your plans?
Do you get this one often? Every Friday, every weekend, every major holiday, and every long weekend? I ask it too but it just gets frustrating when I get raised eyebrows as responses to me answering “Chores and errands and family time”. I have even got “Are you sure?” as a response. Ahem! I thought I knew my life. What is wrong if I decide to do nothing but chores and errands over the weekend? I honestly do not have time for chores during the week and it just gets piled up – like the 4+ mountains of laundry I need to tackle after scheduling this post.
Weekends are the time where I hit the grocery stores, prep and plan for lunches and dinners for the week ahead, clean the house, tackle the laundry, schedule blog posts, browse Pinterest, craft with kuttyma and the list is endless. It is also the time when I get more than 6 hours of sleep every night and I also grab a quick nap in the afternoon. As much as I love the catch-up on pending stuff over the weekends, I do wish I do not have a big to-do list to tackle every weekend. But hey that is the way things are and yes – I have no great plans for this weekend or any future weekend.
It is my safe and comfortable zone. An occasional birthday party, baby shower or get together happen on some weekends but beyond that it is just time I treasure with my family and yes I love my weekends
