Art Car Parade
It is one of my favorite times of the year. Houston has warmed up nicely but it isn’t scorching hot yet. There are so many activities around the city and it is hard picking which one to stop by. On Sunday we were at the Art Car Parade.
Houston’s Art Car Parade, the largest ever, is the time to gawk at. To laugh and groan. It is time when art meets wheels. I find the parade and the art on wheels inspiring and I came back with tons of pictures and words floating in my mind.
There were around 200 vehicles this year and an enormous range of modifications made to the vehicles. It is always fun to catch a sighting of an art car on the roads during this season.
The event has grown a lot over the past few years and the party atmosphere was energising. Kuttyma especially had a blast under the sun, licking popsicles and watching the parade. We also caught up with a couple of friends and that always is fun.
The Art Car Parade will be 30 next year and I am sure the event will be bigger and grander in 2017!
