She has been spending some time with indulgent grandparents – how indulgent you ask? Well a trip at 10pm to the playground should put things in perspective.
Grandma: How far is the beach from your house in Singapore?
Her: (Shrugging her shoulders) I don’t know – how do I know?

Her: (to her grandmother and friends in Chennai) Mommy come and kuttyma go to “my house” …….. later I come to Chennai
She is staking her claim 🙂

We attended a Bharatanatyam arangetram and she has fallen in love with “Maadu meikum kanne” – so much in love that she learns to sing it within days. She is so enthralled with everything to do with baby Krishna.
Her: When I see elephant, I smile and sing a happy song – elephant become my friend. And repeats for every animal.
We are having a talk about animals and their homes and not disturbing them

To grandfather who had just returned from work who typically buys some treats for her every evening
Her: Did you bring something for me?
Grandfather: What something?
Her: You go to office and there are things in office correct? You bring something for me from office

I had picked up some pencils with cute toppers for kuttyma’s friends in Chennai and just like every kid she was reluctant to part with them.
Grandma: How about we give this bumblebee pencil to ABC?
Her: No I do not want to
Grandma: We got them for your friends so we need to share.
Her: But the bumblebee will miss its mommy (aka herself)
Where does she learn this stuff?
