Book Review: Anna and the French Kiss
And when I want a light read – I pick up a teen romance book. Lol! Thinking back about it is hilarious but the book was a fun read. The book was ranked real high in the 2010 NPR teen reads list and I just picked it up. It is a total cute, sweet book. I cannot believe how romantic the whole book is. The romantic in me went gaga over St.Clair and the book is set in Paris. What more can a girl want on a Saturday?
Anna is quite upset that she has to spend her senior year in Paris. She moves into the boarding school, makes new friends and finds love. The book is a typical teen book – parental baggage, is-this-love questions, does-he/she-love me questions, drama, name calling, homework, parties and friendship. The book is a smooth, simple read. The characters are real, the book feels real and yet totally mystic.
I totally understand that I am past the age of reading teen romances but on a lazy Saturday this was the perfect book for me. Sweet, easy and oh-so romantic!
