Book Review : Larkspur Cove
The best thing about books is that the variety. I love that I can read a variety of genres and never get bored. This book is a romantic fiction set in today’s world.
A newly divorced mother moves into small town Moses Lake, TX with her teen son. She wants to start new and fresh. Mart is the game warden with a past he cannot shake off. The two have a rocky start and then they rediscover the beauty of life – thanks to Birdie. Birdie – a mystery girl who suddenly appears in Moses Lake.
I love the easy flow of words – simple, effective and breezy. The story alternates between Andrea’s and Mart’s point of view and it throws more insight into the people they are. The book is faith-based fiction. The faith and beliefs of Mart and Andrea are subtle and boosting. And there is action, fights, thrills and the unexpected.
Very real, very light and a perfect read.
I received a free copy of Larkspur Cove from Bethany House Publishers for the sake of this review.
