Book Review: The Hindi-Bindi Club
I saw this book at the Houston Library on my farewell trip to the library. I tracked it down at the Singapore library and started reading it.
I really do not understand the confused immigrant stories. Even Jhumpa Lahiri’s. There my dark secret is out. And this book was no exception.
Three women bonded through their mothers burn and mend bridges and finally “settle down” in life.
Throw in some recipes (what is with Indian immigrant books and recipes?) and a wedding in India (ofcourse there has to be one Bollywood production)
Blah!
