Canvas Press – Review and a giveaway!
If you know me, you would know I am obsessed with photos. Well, with a little girl and a photographer husband, how can I not be. I am frequently looking for ways to display all the pictures I love. Infact, over the past 2 years, all the decorative stuff from my walls have come down to make way for kuttyma’s pictures.
I was getting tired of the 8×10 frames and was thinking about canvas when I heard from Canvas Press. I literally jumped right in at the opportunity to review and host a giveaway at Poohsden (are you as excited as I am?)
That is kuttyma when she was 3 months old. This picture reminds of the good ole days of colic, midnight feedings and family time. It is a picture I would want to look at any day and every day and now it is a work of art in canvas. Thanks Canvas Press! (This is also one of the very few times she will be showing her face on my blog – as I am a very paranoid mom)
Canvas Press specializes in converting photos into canvases. They do it in a range of sizes starting at 8x10s. The canvas can be a gallery wrap (like mine) or be enclosed in frames. In addition, you can have your photos enhanced, retouched or even turned into a painting. Do stop by their website and take a look. And believe me, if you can think of it, they will probably have it.
I love online shopping and I feel it makes life so much easier. I hear a lot of people question me about customer service when I shop online. Try the customer service at Canvas Press. I would order my groceries from them, if they would deliver. They were awesome in answering all my questions (mainly because I was too lazy to read the detailed FAQ section here) and fixing up my issues.
It took me all of 5 minutes to put in an order for this canvas. It should pretty much explain to you how user-friendly the site is.
It took 2 days for the canvas to arrive. That should tell you how prompt and effective they are.
The canvas was carefully wrapped and packaged. That should tell you how much Canvas Press values your business and your artwork.
I opened the box and fell in love all over my little girl. Yes that is what the canvas did to me. I had forgotten how tiny she was and how fast she has been growing the past year. That should tell you the quality and the clarity of the canvas. The pictures here do not do justice to how perfect the canvas looks.
And now for the exciting part, the giveaway – Canvas Press is giving away one of my readers a chance to win a canvas just like mine (ofcourse with a photo of your choice) valued at over 110$. This is one giveaway I wish I could also enter and win. (Believe me, I asked about it and NO I am not eligible to enter a giveaway I am hosting)
The giveaway is open for all – US residents get free shipping (others have to pay the corresponding shipping rates. It works out around 55$ for shipping to India or if you have a US shipping address that would work too)
So to enter to win a 16×20 gallery wrap canvas print from Canvas Press all you have to do is leave me a comment telling me what photo you would convert to a canvas if you win.

February 23, 2011 at 2:54 pmThats such a lovely idea. I came across the photo on canvas option a while ago but never quite looked into it. Iniya looks lovely in red and I hope to get a nice picture (maybe one of Rajan’s photos of the 3 of us) of the family on canvas, one of these days. 🙂

February 23, 2011 at 2:46 pmI have the perfect photo to convert to canvas! It’s one of my husband and me. We won a trip (which we could have NEVER afforded on our own) to the Bahamas. We just got back. Very romantic. Want to keep the memory of it alive.
