Craft time with Kuttyma

I finally thought kuttyma was ready to do crafts with me and introduced her to an easy craft – finger painting.

I started with some flavored yogurt, added some food coloring into it to make the colors pop and put them into colorful bowls to capture her attention. I put kuttyma on her high chair with a bib around her neck to make cleanup easier. I dipped kuttyma’s fingers into the yogurt and traced designs on the paper with hopes she will follow what I did. She did like dipping her fingers but to place them on paper was not as exciting.

Colored Yogurt in colorful bowls

She loved the way it felt on her fingers

So I kind of dropped little drops of yogurt on the paper and encouraged her to doodle and it worked.

We ran out of paper so we doodled on the high chair tray

I just let the yogurt dry and now we have very colorful abstract artwork on the fridge. We plan to do it again soon.I loved using yogurt beacuse I really do not have to worry about her popping her fingers into her mouth.

aww thats nice!! To start with u can doodle on cookie tray or high chair tray, thats easier for lil fingers to glide… and if u want to save a copy on paper.. take a monoprint!!
