Do your craft and eat it too
Making craft time more fun with edible craft for this month’s Artsy-Craftsy hosted by the talented Shruti of Mindful Meanderings.
I used stencils to create this yummy craft.
Ingredients
You favorite cake or brownie recipe. Chocolate recipes work the best
Powdered sugar
Wax/Freezer/Butter paper
Template
Pen
Scissors
Sieve
Use the template to cut out designs on wax paper (I used premade stencils and made my job easier). Place the cut wax paper stencil on cooled cake, use a sieve and powdered sugar and sprinkle. Take pictures (optional) and eat!
Isn’t it a perfect way to do crafts with your little one on a rainy day (or any other day for that matter)? Once the templates are cut it is a safe and easy craft for the youngest of the young.
Note: It is a Devil’s Food Chocolate cake from my kitchen and it tastes just as moist and yummy as it looks.

June 17, 2010 at 8:22 am@Uma Thanks! It is sinful and the whole family loved my “craft time” this month. Usually I have to go and lock myself in the room to get some time but this time around I had helpful hands

June 13, 2010 at 5:38 amMichelle, Thanks. I did nothing with the berries. A few ended up in pancakes and the rest are pureed and frozen for my lil fruit lover
