Hello 2017 from Poohsden!
Hello 2017!
How did you ring in the new year? I spent it like every other New Year – buried under the blankets with my phone on mute. The only New Year tradition I follow is to send out cards.
This year kuttyma made the New Year cards for family and friends. It is one of those projects that take a lot of time because the list of recipients is long. DIY projects scare me because it could end up lying around half-done. So I tried to pick a design that would interest her enough to make 50 and something that can done fast. We have always loved working with fuse beads and it was decided our 2017 cards will feature fuse beads. The chosen theme was “SWEET”. Kuttyma narrowed down her choices to a cupcake, a popsicle and a candy pattern.
Here is the card kuttyma sent out.
May your year be happy and sweet!
Another year is here
To stay and slay
What can I say new?
Nothing new about the New Year
I dream, I hope
I see stars and the beauty
Optimism and energy power me
I make promises
and will probably break them too
Nothing new about the New Year!

January 2, 2017 at 11:32 pmI like this tradition of sending out cards. Fewer and fewer people are doing it these days. I intend to each year but never get around to it. There’s still time though, all of Jan should be open to sending new year cards :-).
