Lights off
I am lucky – I have big windows in my 2nd floor office. And on a normal sunny Texas day it means, I can turn off my lights mid-day. Yes the room does look dark but there is enough light to work without straining my eyes. I am also lucky because my office-mate does not mind turned off lights. We hear comments – a variety of them and here is a sampling
– It looks like vampire land
– Are you not sleepy?
– I am pretty sure you feel gloomy
– It just does not seem right
– Are you watching a movie or something?
and more. Would you turn off the lights if there is sufficient natural light available and you are not paying the electricity bill?
