Do you know how little you can survive with? I honestly cannot believe how easily I have been able to manage with few items. The past month while all my worldly processions floated somewhere in between Houston and Singapore I lived out a few basic items. I cooked 2 meals on most days and the family wore fresh, clean, ironed clothes every day. It makes me wonder about the millions of boxes we have shipped out of Houston – why do I need most of the stuff?

Materialism – I am a victim and the sad part is I want to be one. I wish I were more noble.

By the way, the millions of boxes arrived tomorrow and the Christmasy feeling of opening the boxes is drifting in. It isn’t home till I fill it up with junk
