The Story
I stayed away from the library for nearly a week. Mostly because I had too many things on my list and I had nightstand books to keep me busy. This week, I went to pick up a couple of books for my daughter and came back with 10 books for myself. Yes, that is the story of my life.
A visit to the library is cheaper than therapy and has no calories unlike chocolate. Click To TweetI am not complaining. A visit to the library is cheaper than therapy and has no calories unlike chocolate.
February 2017 so far
February is a short month and a busy one so far. So far, nothing I wanted is in it and yet more than I expected. That is a good thing I guess. My reading hasn’t been too shabby. I haven’t read much so far but I have another 10 days to catch up on goals.
My Nightstand Books
So what did I pick up at the library? Take a look
Pending Read on my nightstand
The Kite Runner – I had planned to re-read it last week but I haven’t got to it just yet.
Re-reads
The Bell Jar, Wide Sargasso Sea, The Sign of Four and Then There Were None
I have heard The BFG audiobook and loved it. This time around I want to read it.
Impulsive Picks
The Sign of Four and Then There Were None – I walked past the Classics section and quite a few books called my name. I didn’t want to pick those two but I did.
Non-Fiction Reads
The Art of Stillness and The Gift of Failure
Doubtful Pick
The Nest was all over Instagram last year and I am not sure if I would enjoy it much. I just decided to give it a shot.
For my #Read2017 Challenge
Anne Tyler, Agatha Christie, Khaled Hosseini and Roald Dahl works are all part of my challenge.
Lingering in my TBR
I have over 1000 books in my Goodreads TBR list. I have been trying to make it a habit to pick at least one or two from the list and read. This time I picked The Private Lives of Trees and The Art of Stillness.
Have you read any of these books? Do you have any recommendations?
