Orbis Terrarum
I wanted to read more and more. I am at the stage where I feel totally illiterate. I want to read. I decided that I am going to read my way through Time Magazine’s 100 all-time novels. I read about Orbis Terrarum reading challenge at Sheba’s blog and decided to jump right in. You can read more about the challenge right here
It is basically a challenge where you read 8 books in 8 months. Also, each book must be from different countries. I decided I will choose books from the Time’s list. I have not got my list ready but I know I am going to start with a book that I just picked up from the library
LOLITA —Vladimir Nabokov – Russia
The other books I might read include
THE MAN WHO LOVED CHILDREN by Christina Stead – Australia
A HANDFUL OF DUST—Evelyn Waugh – England
WIDE SARGASSO SEA – Jean Rhys – Dominica
HOUSEKEEPING by Marilynne Robinson Farrar – USA
Anyone wants to join me?
