Plans 2011
As we begin 2011 (soon), I sit back and think what I want to gain from this year. It is a journey I take within me and a journey I treasure. It is a journey where I reassess my goals, my ideals and priorities. It is a journey that starts with jumbled words that later make sense.
These are the jumbled words for this year and here are the plans.
A book a month – simple and much needed. I plan to read books of the Time Magazine list in addition to other stuff. So at the end of the year I should have atleast read 12 books
One craft project a month – To keep my mind from drifting in too many directions – only ONE project a month
A blanket a year – To keep me grounded and patient. I have even selected the design. It is going to be a granny square blanket
A baked product a week – I plan to keep my oven preheated – healthy baked products planned
An Outdoor fun day a fortnight – Many times, I just need to stop and smell the roses and not get tangled in social commitments and obligatory visits. Picnics, zoo, parks – all in the plan. It will also be great family time and kuttyma would love the attention.
One craft time with kuttyma a fortnight – She is getting to the stage when she is ready for crafting and hence need to do something creative every 2 weeks at least.
One blog post a week – Okie this is the bare bones minimum. I hopefully will be able to write more.
One poem in 2 months – I am being very practical and giving myself 2 months. If you remember in my Journey to 30 plans I had listed understanding 5 poems of Bharatiyar, Bharatidasan and Wordsworth as my plan. So this year I plan to start with it. I am not sure what 6 poems I will work on this year but it looks fun.
5 kurals a month – Right now it sounds difficult and surely not the best way to start off but I think it is doable. Again a way to reach my 100 kurals by 30 goal.
And phew that is a big list!!!
So Plans 2011 will have a monthly update at the end of every month.
