Read List

A list of books read recently. My reading phase has slowed down considerably and I am quite upset by that. It is hard to get into a reading mood when all I want to do is sleep.

If I could tell you by Lee, Jing-Jing

A local author describing life in the soon to be torn down Blk 204. Very Singaporean and filled with stories that the walls know. I can understand what the author tries to tell between the lines as I felt something similar when we spoke about selling my childhood home.

Austenland by Hale Shannon

Weekend casual read. If you want a fun read with a dose of Jane Austen pick this up.

The Immortals of Meluha by Tripathi Amish

I must be last one on earth reading this book. Harry Potter meets Indian mythology is my description of the book

Bitter Sweets by Roopa Farooki

This is the second book of Farooki’s I am reading. I love how she starts off with a strong story. Somewhere in the middle she loses me. Either with too much detail or derailing to fit into the box. Bitter Sweet had so much promise and suddenly the book fizzed out – atleast in my opinion.
