#Read2017 January
The month literally flew past us didn’t it? Well at least it felt that way to me. I made a quick trip to Atlanta and try to get back on a routine on a regular basis and fail miserably every single time. It has been a rollercoaster month personally and I was glad I had books to escape to. I read, I wrote, laughed and cried too.
Books and Me in January
My nightstand book pile grew leaps and bounds and I traveled around the world with my books. It has been a great bookish January. One of my best I would think. I managed to make time to read and enjoy what I read. I actually went back and re-read portions of many books before marking them complete. Re-read was my mantra for 2017 and I managed to re-read a couple of books that I have previously enjoyed. Time to look at #Read2017 January with a tad bit of nostalgia.

I had a list of books I wanted to read in 2017. It is a big list and it daunts me at times especially because I have a habit of meandering off lists and picking random books at the library. That is one reason why I don’t take part in book challenges these days. Instead of inspiring me, the challenges start to mock at me. I feel overwhelmed.
So, the books I read in January include some of my random picks from the library and works I wanted to read. It was quite a nice mix of books which made me a happy reader.

February 2, 2017 at 6:05 pmI take it that I need not bother with the book by Strout. It keeps turning up in my radar and I have noticed it on the library shelf. The plot does not appeal to me.
Would be interesting to read your review on the surprising read and Kuttyma’s take on The Hundred Dresses. ;))

February 28, 2017 at 10:24 amYes please don’t bother with Strout. I liked her other book so thought I might enjoy it. Hundred Dresses – will get kuttyma to review it soon.
