RRRalph
The featured author for the Virtual Book Club for Kids for this month is Lois Ehlert. We have picked up a couple of books from the library previously and found his books fascinating.
For this month we picked up RRRalph.
It is a book about a talking dog with really wonderful artwork (Oodles of Animals is another book with amazing artwork). The book is simple and funny and extremely eye-catching.
To celebrate the book, we made a small craft. We recreated Ralph’s kennel. using a paper plate and foam sheets.
We made Ralph out of paper cups and an assortment of beads, ribbons and pom poms. We had lot of fun laughing and bring Ralph to life. We finally placed Ralph on the roof.
Here comes more fun! Let us blog hop

September 19, 2012 at 11:12 am@Anu – so basically every month you choose one book by the author listed and read it and do a activity/craft/something with your kid and post it on the specified day. More than 50 bloggers are participating in the event and it is a fun blog hop. You get awesome ideas on how you can further encourage and recreate the book. Click on the virtual book club picture and it will take you to the FB page with more details. Can we choose an author or should we stick to the ones listed in the book club? Can you give me more info about the virtual book club?
