Sliver of Houston – Central Market
We have been back in Houston for a month and it is quite a pleasure to watch kuttyma let the city and its culture soak through her. We left Houston when she was two and she is quite disappointed that she has no memories of the place.
We have been trying to feed her pieces of Houston and its people and its history as we get through the days. Her wonder and amazement makes it all worth it. I plan to document some of those moments here on the blog.
Central Market located at the heart of Highland Village has been my favourite store for years. I was waiting to take kuttyma there and it was beautiful watching her fall in love with the store just like I did years ago.
She marvelled at the pumpkins displayed outside and the colourful crisp apples.
Together we sampled at the sampling stations, filled our shopping carts and drooled over the desserts.
I meet friends who moved out of Houston and missing Central Market is always on their list. It is a part of Houston and a foodie dream come true. I am so glad that Kuttyma enjoys the place as much as I do
