Sliver of Houston – Waterwall Park
We have been back in Houston for a month and it is quite a pleasure to watch kuttyma let the city and its culture soak through her. We left Houston when she was two and she is quite disappointed that she has no memories of the place.
We have been trying to feed her pieces of Houston and its people and its history as we get through the days. Her wonder and amazement makes it all worth it. I plan to document some of those moments here on the blog
The Gerald D. Hines Waterwall Park, located in Uptown Houston is a popular spot with locals and visitors alike. We visited the park armed with a ball and bubbles and had great fun people watching and playing.
The park is quite small but boasts of great views of the Williams Tower and the water cascading from the 64 feet tall semi-circular fountain is a pleasure to watch. The park is surrounded by oak trees and has a few benches to linger around.
As a water lover, I find watching the cascade very soothing and inspiring. But the place does get crowded with photographers and models and families on sunny days.
