Sweetness Overload
Halloween came and she decided she will dress up as “cotton candy”. I gave her some options – Indian dancer, Baker girl or Cotton Candy. She was leaning towards baker girl for a long time and suddenly decided she will be cotton candy. So cotton candy it was. To be honest I think she picked the easy option
It was quite easy to dress her up as one and we had a blast getting everything ready. I was glad it was a project I could involve her in and that makes the costume more special.
Polyfil colored pink (After attempting many ways of uniformly coloring the fill fiber (spraying, dipping) I realized dipping in paint and then mixing by hand works the best). Kuttyma was able to help me with this step. Take a look at the picture below.
Clear bag to fill in the fiber (I used one of those turkey oven bags and it was a great fit)
White cone hat
Ribbons
Clear label (optional)
Pink full sleeve tee and pants
We also practiced a small poem for her to recite
I am a cotton candy
fluffy and pink
I taste sweet
and am a yummy treat
I will leave you with some pictures
She has also figured out what she wants to dress up as for next year – right now rocket and traffic light are on the list.
