The Pooh I Knew!
I’ve been a frequent visitor of Pooh’s Den since last year and on my each visit I can’t help but stand amazed at the amount of creative activity that goes on in here! My friend Pooh has written on every imaginable topic – be it namma oru samaiyal, motherhood, crochet or conversations… Pooh’s Den has something for everyone!
This being my maiden blog here, I decided to write about Pooh herself!
Pooh and I have known each other ever since school. Our moms worked together and we studied together. Apart from that, I don’t remember having spoken to each other even once. But two things I do recollect – she was in ‘D’ section and I in ‘C’; she drove a Scooty and I a Ladybird bicycle! And the only thing we must have ever exchanged back then must have been a simple smile as we walked past each other in our school corridor!
Oops… How could I forget her retta jadai and her dimple? – The two main ingredients of her charm! Well, that was the Pooh I knew more than a decade back!
Time flies, doesn’t it… Thanks to social networks like Facebook and Twitter. We stumbled on each other in cyberspace, probably a couple of years back! This time she was a graduate, an engineer, a wife and now a mommy. But the Pooh I now saw (in her FB albums) was no different from the Pooh back then – the same dimple, the same smile and the same charm.
Little did I know she possessed such a flair for writing and crafts until I bumped on Pooh’s Den. Reading through each blog, I noticed one thing… one theme! And that is PASSION – the passion that she shares for reading, writing, travelling, crafts, dance, music, people, family… and LIFE!
Pooh, I am delighted to know the person you are now. You not only amaze, but also inspire me. You inspired me to get back to what I was passionate about once upon a time – blogging! Thank you, Pooh!
