I have been exploring Singapore on foot and documenting it. I tweet as I walk at #missionxploreSingapore
Here are some of the walks I have done
Route 1 – Fullerton Bay Hotel – Merlion Park – Anderson Bridge – Esplanade Park – Cavanagh Bridge – Esplanade – Youth Olympic Park – Marina Bay Sands
Route 2 – Raffles MRT – UOB Building Plaza, Along the river to Clarke Quay
Route 3 – Clarke Quay MRT – MICA Building – Central Firefighters Gallery – The Parliament
Route 4 – Tiong Bahru (random walking with the aid of Google maps)
Route 5 – Amoy Street (This place is like seconds from my work and I did not realize how historically significant the area was till I started exploring – amazing buildings along the way. I did not click too many pictures)
Route 6 – China Town (The South Bridge Rd)
Did you know there are numerous art galleries inside the MICA Building? Need to explore them someday
Colorful incense stick burning as a part of the Chinese New Year festivities – Amoy Street
Colorful windows – along Amoy Street
On the walls – Amoy Street
On the floor – tile work at the location of the location of the first Anglo Chinese School in Singapore
Chinatown – I love how Singapore maintains its historic buildings. Will India ever do it?
The Buddha Tooth Relic Temple
All decked up for Chinese New Year with lanterns and blossoms
The Mariamman Kovil in Chinatown – the oldest Hindu temple in Singapore
Sometimes you just need to look up – spiral staircase in Chinatown

Spotted near a gas storage area in Tiong Bahru – fits in well with the general vibe of the area
Inside the lovely Books Actually – bags, books, gifts, vintage stuff and more
The oldest active fire station in Singapore – beautiful is’nt it? I spent quite a bit of time drooling
White and red and arches and plantation shutter – I can move in there tomorrow
This building is a gallery and also hosts Firefighter Saturdays when kids can visit the station. I need to get kuttyma there sometime soon
I must have hundreds of pictures of the MICA building and I can never get enough of it. This place is THE best building I have seen (in real or in pictures) – I have no clue why I love this place so much
The colours – I love them
Love the pop of red in this picture – MICA building again
Tiptoeing around – spotted this under some shrubs
