Wise or Stupid?
I was more than halfway through this book – well-acclaimed. It was going well – I liked the way it was written and the way the book flowed – I could have completed it. But I knew the book will make me sad at the end. So just as the sad parts begun, I quit reading.
Now I am asking myself – if I should have done it. If I should have forced myself to read it?
Should I get it back from the library?
Oh the complicated life of a reader – sigh
Just for my future reference – the book is a historic fictional work about Hadley Richardson, Ernest Hemingway’s – the writer’s first wife. I am still not sure how to classify this book – fiction or imagination or reality? And this might just be my issue – none of the other reviews I read indicated this confusion. Maybe this was another reason why I did not read the book completely?
