Q: Quint Baker

Quint Baker is a character from The Last Kids on Earth by Max Brallier.

Quint loves science and making inventions. His inventions are always super cool and useful. He’s very smart, and though he is a bit socially awkward, he’s open to making new friends. He’s wildly imaginative and I really enjoyed learning about him throughout the series.

P: Percy Jackson

Percy Jackson is from the Percy Jackson series by Rick Riordan.

Percy is a Greek demigod. Demigods are children of the gods and mortals (normal humans). There are Greek (children of Greek gods) and Roman demigods (children of Roman gods). Percy is a son of Poseidon, one of the Big Three, meaning that he is one of the most powerful demigods. In fact, he is the most powerful demigod. He controls the water and can sometimes control other substances that are similar to water, like poison or blood. I loved how we got to see Percy progress, from a clueless 12 year old to a 16 year old who has gone through so much (as of Blood of Olympus). I also really enjoyed the cameos he made in other series, especially in the Magnus Chase series. Percy is such a great character and I loved reading about him.

Nestor has a magical ability to talk to animals. I love how brave he is and the way he works with his friends to figure out what to do. M: Mini Kapoor-Mercado-Lopez

Mini Kapoor-Mercado-Lopez is a character from the Aru Shah series by Roshani Chokshi.

Mini is a Pandava, who is a child of the gods. Each of the Pandavas get reincarnated each century and Mini, along with Aru, Brynne, Nikita, and Sheela are the modern day Pandavas. Mini starts out as a young girl who worries about germs and diseases. As the series goes on, I can see her starting to grow older. While she still has the same worries, I can tell how much she’s learned and how far she’s come. I love the way she works with her soul sisters (the Pandavas) and the way that they’re such a good fit for each other.
